Music video production is a virtually limitless cinematic field of endeavor that employs an amazing array of narrative, doc and experimental techniques while cross-pollinating every genre imaginable. It is one of the freest and most exciting art forms.
This course will allow students to analyze the different ways in which artists combine visual imagery with music to create music videos.
Students in this section will learn the following:
• Producing a music video from script to screen
• Applying the art and craft of cinematic montage to creative storytelling
• Creating powerful and meaningful cinematic images
• Analyzing music videos for historical context and social impact.
At the end of the workshop, students will produce a complete music video and gain valuable material for their demo reel.
